This Jade Natchez coffee pot with the frog lid is a first offering. Only a few were made, and you could be one of the lucky collectors who have this rare piece. The black wavy line represents the Mississippi River, and it is McCartys' trademark. This pot is in the sunshine and shadows pattern which means that t is abundant nutmeg over the jade giving it a shadowy appearance. The frog is about an inch long and 3/4" high which is just right for an easy grasp. The pot is signed on the bottom. It is 9" to the top of the knob on the lid. The lid sits down into the pot for more than an inch which will keep your coffee hot until you are ready to serve it and the lid stays in place when you pour coffee. Each piece of pottery is unique and none look alike. All McCartys' pottery is crafted from Mississippi mud. This pottery is new and comes directly from McCartys' studio.S & H will be calculated.
