This is a great used engine. Good to fly or add to a collection of antiques. Good compression, piston looks good and does not show a lot of wear. Some paint chipping on the cooling fins. You can see in the pictures that the 2 front mounting holes have been filed bigger, to accommodate some mount I had it in. Made in 1964 (I think) and I think I bought this from a friend. I had pretty much stopped flying when I started college but thought I’d take it up again because it was a lot of fun. I never did though because I got a little busy getting 3 degrees and raising 6 kids and just never had the time again. I gave away the half finished plane I was building and thought I gave this engine away with it. Lucky for the flyer or collector that gets it. I quit flying when I started college in 1963 after getting out of the navy. In 1982 or so I tried to get my youngest son (8 then, 39 now) interested but it just wasn’t him so I cleaned them all again and put them away in oil soaked rags. I ran across these “Antique” engines the other day and thought that it’s time for someone else a lot younger than me (70 now) to get as much pleasure from them as I did 50 years ago. I would love to see my grand kids fly them but none of them (15) are interested so I’ll agree to be a grandfather in absentia for anyone who wants t o take care of these and read more
