These ceramic Bookend / Planters are clearly marked "McCOY USA " on bottom. They have attractive & realistic green foliage detail that also serves as a water reservoir. The upper yellow planter portion has unique drain-hole design which goes into green reservoir base (acting like a saucer of sorts!). Thus, these are very glossy clean pieces that can be used as planters or as bookends--but given how clean they are, I don't believe these have ever been used as planters. They weigh 4# 10 oz the pair, more if you put marbles in them (as I have!), or of course if you actually put soil & plants in them (which I haven't!). The dimensions of these bookend / planters are 6-1/2" high x 6" wide x 5 inches deep. They are in very good condition. One bookend does have two slight flakes (1/8") that are actually hard to spot; one flake is on the green part near top & the other flake is on the green part near the front (both shown in photos, see pointer). The other bookend is perfect for age. T is slight age-related crazing on both. These imperfections do not take away from the beauty of these great bookend / planters. A picture of the bookends can be seen in the Hansen, Nissen, Hansen Book first volume on pages 168-169. Due to the type of items these are, they will ship USPS Priority by zip code; they can't safely fit in a Priority Flat Rate read more
