For your consideration, I have the fairly rare 1960 McCoy cookie jar in the shape of a globe, with a semi meridian and an airplane on the top. It is quite a striking piece. It is 10" tall by 8" wide. Some of these cookie jars were decorated with cold paint as seen in the Hanson-Nissen-Hanson reference book Vol. 2, on page 245. This particular one is all aqua. T is a slight residue of gold paint on the base and the meridian and silver paint on the airplane, asides from that t is no paint. I don't know if it was originally designed like this or the paint was removed over the years, all I know is that it looks great in this beautiul aqua color. T are latitude and logitude lines and the outlines of the continents and the all the names of the different oceans. T are two small chips, one on the edge of the lid and another one on the tail of the airplane, that have been touched up. I have higlighted both in my pictures. It is marked McCoy USA on the bottom. T are some factory glaze skips, as shown, on the bottom of the base, asides from that it is in great shape. If you are a McCoy collector or a cookie jar collector this is a great piece to add to your collection. T are no cracks, hairlines or repairs. Please ask questions. I will provide additional photographs or information upon request. This item is vintage and sold as is. Sales are read more
