This heavy stoneware pitcher was made by McCoy in early part of the 1900's - pre-1920. It is 10 inches tall and about 8 inches at the widest part. It is decorated with an iris on both sides and has a gloss finish - not high gloss just a light shine. These early pieces often have a more rustic (crude) quality and this one is no exception. It is part of their character. Given that, I see only these two post-production items to note: a 1/4 inch nick on the handle which you may be able to see in pictures 1 and 3. The underlying clay nearly matches the color of the glaze at that spot so you can barely notice the nick. Secondly, t are some spots of crazing but these are really quite minor considering the age of the piece. Remarkably, t are no nicks on the spout. A great example of this rare piece of early McCoy. ** ** ** ** ** ** ** * Packing: I pack with care - lots of bubblewrap and peanuts - and doublebox all heavy items. Shipping: I charge flat fee shipping to expedite the transaction. I try to undercharge so that the cost is in your favor. I always insure for the full purchase price. I will combine purchases when possible. Antiques: I am not a dealer. Although I try to make sure they are authentic, I basically buy antiques that I like. All items listed are my personal items acquired over the last 10-20 years. I am selling them because I moved to a smaller house. Returns: I do not sell on speculation. However, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please email me. Unless the item was misrepresented, I will ask that you pay the return shipping costs, and, depending on the circumstances, half the ebay and paypal costs.
