Up for bid is a really old (Black Jacket)1867 McGuffey New Sixth Eclectic Reader. This book is not like most of the other McGuffey Eclectic Readers. In fact I show it compared to a regular sized First McGuffey's Reader Revised copy. The revised copy will be forsale at a later date so if interested email me to be notified when it goes on ebay. The one Forsale now has a black hard covered copy on the left and is thicker and larger than the newer ones. Its a 1 3/8 inches thick. Has a couple pages loose and 45 degree cut corners on the pages as photo. It says it it was published by Winthrop B. Smith Co. in Cinn. Ohio. The pages are lightly yellowed and in the inside cover and first page has a lot of hand writeing, signings, names ect. Thanks for looking...Granny ...... PS I also have another McGuffey black hard covered copy that I think is even older than this one and need some help to identify the age.
