You are bidding on this vintange McIntosh C 22 Tube Type Stereophonic Preamplifier (serial number 10 A82) which is in spectacular condition. My cousin and I purchased this new in 1963 and I ended up with it when he and I moved apart in the early 70's (he purchased another McIntosh system). I always took my McIntosh components to authorized McIntosh dealers to have them checked out. I don't remember having any issues except to replace a couple of tubes. During the past 20 to 25 years it has barely been used as it sat in a cabinet in a room I seldom visited. (I got married and my wife had other uses for the space the system occupied.) If you are looking at this unit to buy, you most likely are familiar with all it offers. I haven't have it tested so I can't say whether it meets specs or not. This unit is near perfect as it sat in a cabinet for all these years. It has six Telefunken Tubes.The pictures I took in June, 2009, just before listing, show the condition accurately and clearly (Note that no photos were taken from other sites).
