McIntosh MA-5100 Preamplifier / Amplifier. Vintage Electronics. Solid State. This unit has been tested and is functional, however it needs repair. It is being sold As-Is with the following known issues: 1. The potentiometers need cleaning. The volume know in particular cuts the left speaker in and out whenever it is tapped. 2. The following lights are out: Input jack, Speaker on/off, and Power On/Off. 3. The unit itself was very well taken care of. The general appearance is very clean but due to years or storage, there is oxidation on the input/output jacks and like I stated before the pots and switches need a good cleaning. I am not a professional, but I have tested this units functionality and have checked each input (Phono, tape, aux, stereo, ect.) and Bass, Treble, Balance, Mode Selector. I will take this back if I have incorrectly described this amplifier. Overall, I believe that this is a great amplifier and with a little attention this can be a wonderful addition to a vintage audiophiles collection. Thanks for looking!
