It's time to clean out some of my equipment...I have over 2 dozen amps including the big brother of this one, a MC-2100. This MC-250 is in good - plus condition. It does have some scuffs and scratches, but nothing major. The chrome has some fine pitting throughout, but still looks nice. There is a small dent / crease at the bottom edge of the power transformer (see pic). It is complete and I'll include both the owners and service manuals on a CD. When I purchased this about 5 years ago it was in pieces...the person who owned it had blown it up and tried to do some repair work but soon found out he was over his head. What I have done was to replace the electrolytic capacitors (standard on something this old), as well as the cement power resistors and the larger carbon comp resistors. I also added bypass capacitors on the input electrolytics. Now for the actual repair...When I received the amp, it was missing all of the drivers and only had one output transistor (which was bad). I was able to find original drivers (TO-66), but not the outputs. The outputs are Motorola MJ15003, which work nicely. I also found when I was replacing the outputs, that one of the output transistor sockets was bad...probably bad plating from heat...so I've replaced all of the output transistor sockets as well.
