You are welcome ! _________________________________________________________________________ Meteorite Noyan Bogdo L6 You are bidding on a winderful partial slice of the Meteorite Noyan Bogdo, an Olivine-Hypersthene-Chondrite L6. The Noyan Bogdo meteorite which is rarely offered on the market fell in September 1933 in Omnogoy Aymag, Mongolia. The slice shows a large white Chondrule and black fusion crust on one side. Size: 3 cm x 1.5 cm x 0.5 cm . Weight: 6.5 Grams. Location: Witnessed Fall: September 1933. Omnogoy Aymag, Mongolia. Some basics about Chondrites: Chondrites are stony meteorites that have not been modified due to melting or differentiation of the parent body. They formed when various types of dust and small grains that were present in the early solar system accreted to form primitive asteroids. Prominent among the components present in chondrites are the enigmatic chondrules, millimeter-sized objects that originated as freely floating, molten or partially molten droplets in space. A few Chondrites contain the so called CAIs (Calcium-Aluminium Inclusions), which are among the oldest objects to form in the solar system.
