Mdina Verdala Bowl in Yellow and Orange A Mdina bowl in a superb condition. A rare and beautiful Mdina Verdala bowl designed and made in the mid 1970s in Malta, in bright yellow and orange colourway, with a lovely organic lopsided shape. An extravagant mixture of colours superbly done, the colour of the bowl is made of both yellow and orange splodges and the swirling lines of orange are both curved and angular. It is so cleverly made, so that some areas are shaded more in yellow, making the bands of orange stand out against the shaded areas. The bowl is marked to the base "Mdina" in a lovely swirl. The bowl is in superb condition, no damage, some bare minimal marks on base, a few air bubbles and the odd black flecs(see in pictures), just from manufacture. Measures approx 6cm at tallest(5.3cm at lowest) with a 18.5cm rim diameter and 8.5cm base, weight is 0.920kg unpacked. Please check out my other auctions.
