GENUINE FULL SIZE Long Service & Good Conduct Medal GVI 1st type named K.64124 J J Turnbull Sto 1 HMS Dryad With copy LSGC Medal roll Stoker 1st Class John James Turnbull was awarded the LSGC Medal 23 June 1939. HMS Dryad was the Navigation and Direction School first sited in Portsmouth Dockyard and from 27 September 1941 at Southwick Park near Portsmouth. From 26 April 1944 in was the Allied Commander in Chief's HQ for 'D' Day planning, Dryad finally closed in 1999. A couple of small edge nicks around service number otherwise Very Good (GVF) Condition
