Two Medicine Buddhas, Clay Pottery Mudmen Reproductions Pair of unmarked glazed clay pottery Medicine Buddha figurines reproduced in the style of turn-of-the-century mudmen. In very good condition with no chips or cracks. The standing Buddha or Bhaisajya is approximately 4 1/4 inches high by 2 1/4 inches wide and holds a myrobalan (a healing fruit used in ancient Ayurvedic medicine) in his left hand and clutching a staff topped with more myrobalan fruit in his right. The sitting Buddha measures approximately 4 1/2 inches high by approximately 5 inches in width. He is flanked on his left by a small deer and cradles either a staff or rolled papyrus in his right arm. Pretty blue mottled glaze colors their robes. See more close-ups below. These are modern decorative reproductions of mudmen-style figurines and very nice display figures for the collector of Buddhas. Free economy shipping within the United States.
