Tuscany Books offers:A very rare manuscript leaf written in a vernacular language, rather than in the much more common Latin. It is from a fragment of a Dutch liturgical book on vellum, written in dark-brown and red ink, adorned with hand painted, gold-heightened initials and various other decorations, done most likely in a Dutch scriptorium around 1460Size of the leaf : ca. 6.6" x 4.75"(170 mm x 120 mm).Condition: As shown, in good condition on vellum with evidence of use, aging and storage: customary toning of the vellum, light soiling, edge and original vellum flaws, etc.Pictured : Both sides of the leaf for sale.Please note: I never restore or treat my items with chemicals to enhance their appearance.
