The bandit of Sherwood Forest, Robin of Locksley, is fabled to have stolen from the rich to help the poor. The legendary outlaw and his band of followers engaged in countless mischievous adventures that frustrated the evil Sheriff of Nottingham. The history of Robin Hood is a romantic one that has stayed lives and has been narrated and returned to narrate during 600 years, giving rise to a series of creations, between which we can emphasize the reconstruction of the mythical sword of Robin Hood.
Attributes of the Weapon:
Blade: The blade of the sword is with a 440 Stainless Steel unsharpened edge and rounded point. A ridge runs down the center of the blade meeting with a long ornate ricasso. Imprinted into the steel of the Ricasso is complex scroll work with Robin Hoods family crest, his initials, a chronicle of his deeds and a crucifix.
Guard: The guard is a complex quillon design with inlaid golden metal work. In the center of the cross bars is a cross with two rearing deer. On each side of the deer is an image of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. The end of the cross bars are three eagles with shields.
Handle: The handle of the sword is solid steel with the symbol of the Earl of Huntington in the middle. Engraved into the side of the handle in golden script is Robin of Locks
