Medieval STAINED GLASS (#2 of 2) -- 1868 LG Litho This is a large and spectacular chromolithograph, published in 1868 (NOT a repro, actually printed that year), from The Grammar of Ornament by Owen Jones, a very scarce and important work on artistic ornamentation through the centuries. The image illustrates exquisite examples of stained glass from various churches: St. Cunibert, Cologne; Canterbury Cathedral; Abbey of St. Denis; Cathedral at Bourges, and Cathedral of Angers. It is titled: STAINED GLASS/PL. LXIX*. The lithograph will come to you matted in archival materials and ready to frame. VERY GOOD CONDITION -- beautiful color; blank on the reverse.- Before shipping, the litho will be matted, with titles, in acid-free, conservation materials (antique white matting) to 13 x 17 inches.
