Alfred had been a wonderful and adored companion for the past 14 years, but due to personal issues I am forced to rehome him. He is an 18 inch tall Stier Bear by Kathleen Wallace and was only available through Teddy Bears of Whitney in the year 2002. He has a growler and is in mint condition, from a non smoking home. He has been kept protected from the sun and dust in a glass cabinet. He is a beautiful bear whom is the last of my 20 year collection. I'd hoped to be able to hang onto him, but it just wasn't in the cards. I can only hope he will go to a home who will love him as much as I do. He is made of soft, sparse, orange mohair (yes he is really that reddish orange) comes with a bell collar and growler. His nose is cotton and wax, his eyes shoe buttons. He is very well made, as the bears from Teddy Bears of Whitney often are. I think there were about 10 or so of this style made for the shop. I lucked out and got the last one. Alfred is designed and made in the old German traditional style, and his beauty is in his simplicity. he needs no adornments to make him an eye catching center piece for any collection.
