“MEET THE BEATLES” MONO W/RARE RETAIL “HI-FI” BAGGY
You’re bidding on a really cool looking copy of this historic 45 YEAR OLD ALBUM. Let me make something clear right off the bat so t isn’t any confusion... I removed this baggy from a Van Cliburn album and put it on this MEET THE BEATLES album . This MEET THE BEATLES album actually came in a baggy of its own, but that baggy had no store markings and was a bit ratty, so I ended up putting that baggy on the Van Cliburn album and putting the really cool “HI-FI” baggy on the Beatles’ album. (I’ve provided images of the MEET THE BEATLES album in and out of the baggy and one image of the Van Cliburn album in its new baggy.) are the particulars: TITLE : “ MEET THE BEATLES ” (Capitol T-2047 Mono) (1964 – 1ST Pressing) COVER : (VG+) #3 Scranton with BROWN LETTERING and no George Martin credit on the back . You have to see the photos of this cover without the baggy on it to appreciate its condition. The original “ratty” baggy must have protected this cover really well because the blue cover photo hardly has a mark on it and the white parts around the edges and on the back look almost new. (SEE IMAGES.) No ring wear or splitting anyw It does have some minor dings at the top and bottom of the opening. SPINE : A little bit of fraying around the title, but still fully intact and very white. (SEE IMAGES.) RECORD : (VG) Play tested. No skips. (IAM Scranton) Has some minor surface scratches & light pops which do not affect its play. LABELS : (VG) One BMI, all the rest are ASCAP. A little ring wear around the edges, but both labels still look pretty good. SLEEVE : Comes with the original light blue Capitol sleeve in really nice condition. Does have a small split at the bottom center which is quite common. NOTE: I'm no expert on grading, so I'll just let you check out the images and decide for yourself. If you have any questions, please contact me BEFORE you bid. Please be aware that some imperfections that are visible in the images may not be listed in the descriptions. So please check them carefully. SHIPPING NOTE : All records will be securely shipped in sturdy cardboard mailers. The records will be removed from their covers and original inner sleeves and placed in acid-free paper or poly sleeves. The cover will be put in a loose-fitting polyethylene sleeve. The cost of these items is included in the Shipping & Handling charge. Media Mail Shipping & Handling in Continental U.S. is $4.00. (Please contact me if you’d prefer other forms of shipping or live outside Continental U.S.) MEDIA MAIL can sometimes take 3 weeks or more to arrive, so please keep that in mind when leaving feedback. Shipping discounts will be given for multiple auctions won. I accept Paypal (preferred) & personal checks. (Please allow ten days for checks to clear.) Insurance is optional. * I don't end auctions early, so please don’t ask. I HAVE OTHER RECORDS UP FOR AUCTION, SO PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT. ––– GOOD LUCK AND THANKS FOR LOOKING.
