Radio An extremely rare chance to turn the world rightside up and upside down with the General. General Radio and Television Company made very few of this type with the moving globe dial. The dial pointer is a heavy brass piece with the world in the center. The world turns with the pointer. The dial numbers light up brightly in Green and Yellow. the dial window is nice and clear. I had this unit totaly restored 3 years ago. All capacitors were replaced with new high quality along with a few tubes. Has safe new power cord and dial light bulbs. All the old parts were saved for history and will come with. All 5 knobs are original. This powerfull 6 tube radio plays on all 3 bands as good as it did in 1934. Tunes Shortwave all the way to 17 MC or MHZ for all the international broadcasts. Hear Radio Sweden, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Russia, Japan the whole world . Get the news you wont get on TV. The cabinet is solid with no loose joints or loose veneer. I believe the finish to be original. Has original grill cloth in good condition. The speaker is original and perfect, no rattles or distortion. All tubes test 100 %. As with all vintage radios it is sold as is but if it should ever require service for up to one year the shop that restored it will service it for just the cost of the part and shipping.
