This auction is special for a number of reasons - first of all it is for an all natural Chilean Meg, and it’s a monster upper principal tooth, the rarest of the rare. Dimensions are 5.82 and 5.80 inch slant lengths, 4.38 inches wide, 1.45 inches thick and weighs 15.2 ounces - humungous tooth! Everything about it is classic Chilean Meg - pristine ivory enamel, caramel brown bourlette, sharp serrations, monster solid root, and a little remnant matrix here and there (primarily along the bourlette). The serrations are very close to 100%, though you can see the nick near the tip - I believe the actual center tip serration is present, with one of the adjacent serrations nicked off, I got as good of pics as I could for you. There are cool caramel brown enamel swirls on both the display and non-display sides near the tip. No repairs or restorations done to this gorgeous fossil.

I am selling this tooth in a 1 cent no reserve auction to benefit a friend who is committing two years of her life to an overseas mission - I will be donating all of the proceeds from this tooth in support of her mission trip. To encourage the highest possible bidding I am shipping for free (to USA only - international estimate $25.00) AND including another special tooth at no cost to you - a beautiful posterior Meg from PERU. The Peruvian tooth has an obviously repaired corner root lobe, but the blade is 100% natural, the serrations and tip are brilliant and sharp, the white and rust bourlette is complete, and the pics don’t lie - it is a gorgeous fossil; if you prefer it all natural, break off the 20% corner root lobe. It’s 3 inches (2.998!) slant1, 2.62 inches slant2, and 2.58 inches wide. Although this auction is the only one with proceeds going to the mission trip, I also invite you to look at the two other special teeth I have listed this week - !
