MEIJI ANTIQUE JAPANESE SATSUMA PLANTER FISH BOWLOffered for auction is an antique meiji japanese satsuma planter fish bowl (see pics). It is large and substantial with fine depictions of two predominant scenes featuring ornately dressed characters amid intriguing natural background settings (see pics). Beautiful muted coloring with the gold of a fine hue (see pics). It is signed on the base (see pics).Diameter at widest part approx 9 1/2". Diameter across opening 7 5/8". Height approx 6 1/4".Condition is very nice. Some wear to gold in areas, around rim, a line of color absent in the face of a character. Pottery intact, no damage.
