Beautiful Meiji Japanese Dai Nippon Porcelain Tea CaddyHand Painted Enamel Birds & Prunus ITEM HIGHLIGHTS Provenance: Hallmarked: This has no markings, but may have impressed marks as shown on base. Circa: 1890's or perhaps earlier Brief Description: A beautifully hand painted all around design of Prunus and Birds in brightly colored enamels. The details of the flowers and birds have a varying degree of thickness and the cover, when properly aligned, completes the composition. This jar is made from heavily potted porcelain. This jar is in excellent and original condition with age appropriate wear to some of the enamel and a small old hairline on the outside of lid (does not go through to the inside of the lid) as shown (in photo #9 I believe).
