Beautiful MEISSEN 1940s Porcelain Figurine "Joys of Motherhood" by Alexander Struck Decorative Figurine of a mother overflowing with joy playing with her children. This beautiful moment was captured in finest blanc de chine porcelain by master designer Alexander Struck. Struck (1902-1990) studied at the famous porcelain making academy in Dresden, Germany and worked for Meissen between 1917 and 1968. He designed some of the most lifelike figurines with f inely molded and executed details. The figure has an older repair at the base that was not done very professionally. A better repair would make the repair invisible. Measurements: 17 1/8" Marked with the Meissen crossed swords mark used around 1940
