MEISSEN BLUE CROCUS GOLD SCALLOPED RIM DESSERT PLATE NR * DESCRIPTION: This authentic Meissen floral dessert salad plate is one of several pieces of Meissen that I have recently acquired that are painted on the Biedermeier Set with Braided Edge blanks. Because the set is not complete, I am selling each piece by itself, rather than as a set. While this is a well known blank, it is not an easy one to find! This and the other pieces of Meissen that I have, come from a VERY fine Hunt Country estate, of a family with extremely old and long history in the United States. If the porcelain could only tell the stories of the famous and powerful people who used them over the years, what amazing things they might reveal. PLEASE NOTE: T are no losses at all to this piece, unless otherwise indicated in the listing or condition report. Any areas that have a lot of white on them are actually reflections from the bright lights I use to take my photos! The rim edge is slightly flanged outward, with a series of repeat raised designs that have been highlighted with thin lines of hand applied gold paint. T is a dominant floral design in the center of the plate. This one has very detailed blue crocus, and around the outer border are three small sprigs of different flowers. The outside rim edge is done in tight repeated scallops. T are impressed marks on the bottom, and while they are VERY difficult to capture with a camera, if you wish me to do so, please let me know via email. This is a gorgeous plate that is singular in its beauty, and for an avid collector of Meissen, it will make yours extremely special! * CIRCA: Twentieth Century - before 1974. * MEASUREMENTS: 1" high. 7 1/2" across the top. * BASIC UNWRAPPED WEIGHT: 11 ounces. T are no handling fees. I am always happy to combine purchases to help save on shipping costs. The rates quoted are those of the USPS and not mine. * SHIPPED FROM: Bridgewater, CT 06752. * BACKSTAMP: See photo. * MANUFACTURER: Meissen. * MATERIALS: Porcelain. * CONDITION: No identifiable problems. This is perfect for a gift, a collection, or even for yourself. Please email me at if you have any questions. ***PLEASE READ*** I do gladly accept PayPal payments, but if the item is to be shipped to an UNCONFIRMED address, then I will only accept personal checks, bank checks, and Money Orders. Winner pays S&H. Summary of My Selling Policies Payment I accept PayPal, Money Orders, and personal checks. I have no preference as to which is used to make a payment.
