Meis sen Rimmed Soup Bowls Blue Onion Pattern Great set of two early soup bowls from Meissen. They measure 1 7/8" high and 9 1/4" across the rim. The plates are in excellent condition, no chips or cracks found. Each one is signed with the crossed swords on the back and on the front, see photo #1 0. These are factory seconds though I do not know why. I see nothing wrong with them. The only thing I noticed was a small spot where the glaze is "dinged", please see photo #11 . I don't know if this happened wh en it was made or at a later date. Never the less, they are still quite a beautiful pair and would make a fine addition to your china. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY.
