This is a charming depiction of a cherub, holding a pitcher, over two heart-shaped flames. This most likely represents Cupid fanning the flames of love. Perfect for a Valentine gift! Beside the figure is what appears to be a cloud. The cherub is standing on a triangle-shaped pedestal, etched in gold with pink oval-shaped insets. The condition of this piece is excellent (it is probably late 19th or very early 20th century and believed to be a wedding present to a couple married in 1903). The colors are still clear and lovely. T are no chips or cracks at all, except that the figure is holding an arrow which is missing its tip. The piece is about 5.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide at its widest. The Meissen blue crossed swords are on the bottom with the number "22". T appear to have been other markings which cannot be decipd. Thank you for looking! Happy bidding! We will be more than happy to answer any questions.
