Double your traffic. Part of a small collection I am listing this week... A striking and rare Meissen tureen from the mid 19th century, ca 1840-50 made for the Ottoman market. Wonderful royal blue ground colour with finely moulded and heavily gilt cartouches framing ornately moulded flower and rose bouquets in gold and white. Exquisite white and gold carnation flower finial. The carnation is a flower found very often on Izhnik ceramics and has forever been popular. Ingood condition. Traces of wear to the gilding commensurate with age. Small and unimportant restored chip to underside of tureen base with extended very fine and practically invisible hairline. Otherwise excellent condition with no damage or restoration. A very fine piece of rare export porcelain for the Turkish Sultan 's market.
