This Is The BEST Present You Can Give Someone!!!! Unique!!!!! One Of A Kind!!!!! Own A Piece Of History!!!!!!!!! Mel Fisher was an American treasure hunter best known for finding the Spanish ship the Nuestra Senora de Atocha that sank off the Florida Keys in 1622. The estimated 400 million cache recovered included 40 tons of gold, silver and some 100,000 Spanish silver coins known as "pieces of eight", gold coins, rare Columbian emeralds, gold and silver artifacts and 1000 silver bars.Atocha Emeralds have such exceptional value. Typically an emerald is valued solely on its gemological characteristics. An Atocha Emerald has several significant factors that make it different and therefore uniquely more valuable. Mayan and Muzo Indians mined Atocha Emeralds in the late 1500's and early 1600's. They are mined from the Muzo mines that have consistently produced some of the finest emeralds in the world. Unlike most emeralds available on today's market, the Atocha emeralds have a fabulous rich green color without the enhancement of oils that most modern day emeralds receive. Atocha emeralds are extremely rare, and as such, will appreciate over the years just as the coins and other artifacts recovered from the Atocha have. An Atocha Emerald is a part of history. There is no other emerald like it in the world. Atocha Emeralds have a story to tell that has intrigued and fancinated millions of people around the world for more that 20 years! You will likely never see another Atocha coin necklace like this on Ebay. It is a unique one of a kind that the average person doesn't have. This is a 2 Reale coin that dates from 1590-1615. As the letter states, this coin came from the personal collection that Mel Fisher and his wife Deo kept for themselves. This has the "flip" mount only known to the Mel Fisher museum. No other jewelry store has this type mount. It's neat being able to flip the coin from front to back. It also has one of the rare and finest emeralds in the world. This over a half carat jewel came from the Atocha. Yes, you will see other Atocha coins on Ebay but, I have never seen a coin and emerald together like this. I have enjoyed this necklace and especially loved the questions and comments that comes with owning this unique piece of jewelry. You will NOT find this in a jewelry store. This was purchased from the Mel Fisher Museum in Florida. I am the original owner. I welcome any additional questions. I have a pretty maroon velvet box that it came in that when opened says: Mel Fisher's Treasure This would make a great Anniversary or Birthday present. Make your friends and family envious. Own a piece of jewelry that the "average" person doesn't have.No returns unless item is grossly misrepresented. Payment MUST be received no later than 3 days after final close of auction!!! Please email with any questions or concerns!!! Thanks For Looking!!! Please remember to give feedback as I will do the same for you!!
