I am selling this instrument on behalf of an elderly relative who has had to go into a nursing home, and who has been too unwell to play it very much at all since it was bought for him a year or two ago. Although I have been a bit of a musician in the past, I know nothing about this type of instrument, but I have tested it and can confirm that it has a lovely tone, that the bellows are completely sound, and that every button works. Each button produces two notes, one as air enters the instrument, and one as air is expelled - i.e. one on pulling the bellows out, and one when pushing the bellows in. I was told by my elderly relative that this particular instrument produces the dual keys of C and G, which is apparently quite unusual. However, a well-informed potential buyer has told me how to check the tuning, and I can now confirm that it is, in fact, in the keys of D and G, which I understand is ideal for English country music, morris dancing, etc. This instrument also has "accidentals" on the two end buttons. A brand-new example would cost around £300, but this one is offered with a relatively low starting price and a realistic reserve which reflects the fact that it is in almost "as new" condition.
