Hunt; Hartford, Connecticut. 1850. Second Edition. Hardcover. No dustjacket. 8vo (9" X 6"). 520 pages. David Hale (1791-1849) was editor of the New York Journal of Commerce and he was instrumental in the establishment of the Associated Press. Condition External: Moderate soiling/staining to spine and covers. Ends of spine and cover corners are heavily bumped and chipped. Two-inch tear of covering between spine and front cover. Dusting and spotting on page edges. Internal: Binding is tight and all pages are intact and mostly clean with light foxing (i.e. brown stains/spots) scattered throughout. There is some writing on front and rear endpages with small tear at front and a bookplate on front pastedown. Overall condition is Good. Full refund if book is not as described.
