Up for auction is one very unique silver " Deep Wave " or is it "deep water" submarine ring? This ring is made from what looks like a vintage WWII submarine badge . This particular pin used in making the ring was part of a larger collection consisting of about a dozen submarine, Navy aviator and Army Air Force pins. The ring is a size ~10.5 but is open in the back and can easily be resized to fit any finger. Recommend sizing be done by a professional jeweler. This particular ring is very cool and would make an awesome gift for any submariner, or military collector. Good luck bidders. UPDATE TO LISTING sent to me from a friend: Manufacturer stamp (Eagle headed star) inside is from Hilborn Hamburger, and during WW2 when bronze was short they used sterling silver as a base metal and u will see "sterling" or if the die was in bad shape "Ster". More recently some old tools have been reactivated and the "Ster" remains (with what looks like a router mark beside it) but they are really a bronze base.
