You are bidding on an authentic, original 1970s wide leather watch band. This style was the "in" look throughout the 1970s during the height of the anti-establishment hippie era. It has the rare quality of being broken in but not worn out, which sets it off as being truly vintage. Modern replicas and new old stock can be readily found, but this is indeed a hard-to-find piece. It was gently used by a relative and has been in dry, dark storage since the late seventies. It is a dark mahogany brown leather and features three parallel straps woven through the length of the band. The straps each have matching brass buckles at one end and holes at the other end for securing through the buckles. The two outer straps secure two brass rings and have three brass rivets in the center. The center strap is unadorned and can be removed for securing a watch in the center section. The underside is plain. It is in excellent vintage condition. The sturdy leather is supple and soft, and has aged beautifully. It has no scuffs, scratches or tears. The brass hardware is in solid, working condition, with a dark patina (not shiny like new brass). It measures 2 1/2" wide and is 10 3/4" long at the longest strap. The size of the band when secured can vary to fit a wrist circumference from 7 1/4" to 9 3/4". This authentic vintage piece will make a great read more
