I have many similar items in my ebay store. Please . 1892 Photogravure of a scene from Goethe's The Temptation of Faust This is a 120 Year Old Full-Page Book Plate, NOT a modern reproduction High quality, 1892 Photogravure : “The Temptation of Faust” . Depicted is the scene from the Goethe’s Faust, where Faust and Mephistopheles enter into negotiations! This is a bookplate from the 1st American Edition of Character Sketches of Romance, Fiction and the Drama by E. Cobham Brewer. 1892, NY, Selmar Hess. It is printed on heavy paper, blank on the reverse. The sheet size is 8.5” by 11.5” and the image is about 5.5” x 7”. The tissue guard that has covered this picture for the last 117 years will be included. The text below is printed on the thin tissue guard. It is NOT on the print itself.
