Pair early primitive Monhegan hooded merganser decoys with inset pegged heads and painted eyes.The bodies are painted in black and brown with dappled gray, white diamond shapes on back. Heads are black with gray and white on neck with dappled fronts.The beaks are brown with a salmon color on bottom. The drake is 6''H x 19''L x 5''W.The hen is 5 1/4''H x 19 3/4''L x 4 1/2''W, minor chipping on crests, lead weighted bottoms. From a Lubec, Maine home.
