The trulysuperb Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp as used by Kurt Cobain, Pete Townsend andMetallica. It is a two channel preamp with reverb. Legendary clean tones up to metal lead. Can be used Direct into a mixing desk or as a pre-amp. The true genius of this pre-amp is the ability to fine tune every stage of the process. EQ pre and post gain gives great flexibility. It is rumoured that it was discontinued by Mesa because it was competing with their more expensive amps. I have read, not tried, that coupled with modern DAW Software using their Cabs, FX etc it is amazing used direct to PC/Mac via soundcard/mixer. The mains lead coming out the back is quite short (see photo), a few case screws are missing (note: screws have not been put back yet on the pictures) and there is the odd minor chip here and there. The quality of workmanship and sound is excellent. Using either the "Main" outputs or "Recording" outputs, you can plug it into the return of the effects loop of an amp, so it will become the pre-amp, use a power amp or go direct into a mixer or suitable line input. The clean sound with the real spring reverb is truly amazing and it is worth it for that alone. Operates on the normal UK 240V. Any questions, please ask.
