'THE METER POSTAGE STAMP CATALOGUE' AUTHORS SD BARFOOT & WERNER SIMON. Size 24cm x 15cm, 119 pages . Binding card is tight with no loose pages. Publisher : Universal Postal Frankers, London 1953. Very rare 60 year old publication. (Cheapest copy I have seen elsewhere on the internet is £25.) Extremely detailed, illustrated work on meters (called both meter cancels or meter postage stamps). Valuable information, showing the first (and subsequent) meters for each country including information on the first German meter and the first meter cancel (Norway,1903). Unpriced, but gives rarity ratings for those that are rare, very rare, and extremely rare. Slight bump to top of spine otherwise very good condition with no tears creases marks or dog ears.
