For your consideration is this wonderful and rare Mettlach PUG stein #726. If my decoding of the markings are correct this stein was made in 1896, is a 1909 pattern, is a 1/2 liter cap, and the quality control number is 8. This stein is in exceptional condition with no cracks chips or crazing of the outside surface. This lid appears to be original and is marked with the letters RZ on the inside rim. T is a heavy glaze run on the INSIDE of the stein which has some crazing and this is obviously from manufacturing. This design is a wonderful series of little stein men standing in line to get filled up at the keg. The saying on the stein says "Vollmaashat Gottlieb, Gut einschenken" The 1994 "The Mettlach Book" by Gary Kirsner has this steins value listed at $450.00 and show a 2001 auction result at $580. Shipping with full insurance will be $15 in the US and international will be $40. Please email with questions.
