I love this bracelet and would not think of selling, but my wrists are too small. I have been collecting for 20+ years. But recently, IÂ've decided to keep and collect only what I can w This bracelet is Fabulous!!! Los Castillo went into business in 1939, they signed their pieces a certain way for 1939 and 1940. In 1942, they signed their pieces (exactly how you see it in my photo) up until 1947. In 1948, they changed their signature again. What I feel is unique about this bracelet, is how it is made. It is made entirely out of wire. It gives it a primitive ancient look and feel. I feel the design is derived from MexicoÂ's rich native culture, rather than any European influence Most Mexican jewelry is made out of sheet silver, which is then formed, domed, or chased. The spirals were formed by bending the wire into circles, soldering them for strength, doming them, and adding a bead on the front. The spiral design and construction, makes this bracelet very powerful, almost like an amulet. This sets it apart from most other Mexican jewelry. Keep in mind, this piece is 61 to 66 years old, and made within the first 4 to 8 years of the business being opened.
