This appears to be a Mexican contract blade for the Remington 1899 Mexican rolling block 7mm rifle. T are several similar bayonets from this era, but based on the 8 ¼" blade length and the 4 ½" hilt, the leather scabbard with metal throat and drag with integral metal belt clip, this fits the description for the Mexican rolling block. Other similar bayonets have slightly different measurements. The blade fuller is not stamped Remington, so this would have been a bayonet that was contracted to another supplier. The bayonet is clean, no nicks, wood is very good, small nick on one edge but otherwise clean, spring clasp works well.
