I am very pleased to offer this exquisite MEXICAN STERLING LINK NECKLACE set with JADE.
This is a spectacular early necklace which pre dates the Mexican Sterling designers who later made their base in Taxco. It is simple in design, incorporating a hollow beaded pattern, the center set with Mexican jade cabochons. The craftsmanship and the extreme length of this necklace foreshadow the incredible craftsmanship that lay down the road. The necklace pre-dates the period of Mexican assay marks, which would date it to before 1947. It is marked MADE IN MEXICO on the inside of the clasp. My guess is that it was made in Mexico City. The necklace is very long and measures 18 inches in length. The links measure 3/4 of an inch in width. It fastens with a hidden slide catch. This necklace is in VERY GOOD CONDITION. If you admire and collect and love to wear Mexican Sterling, you will appreciate the exquisite beauty and charm of this finely made necklace, and surely want to add it to your collection! Good Luck!
