Mexican Swivel Cheek Heavy Spanish Colonial Ring Bit This bit probably weigths close to 2 lbs. It was made to last through several life times and it seems to have. This bit has been stored on top of a bookshelf in an old colonial home next to the oldest sombrero that we have ever seen, that will be up in another auction. This bit has a 3 1/4'' mouth. 2 3/4" port with 2 bars for copper flavors. T is only one flavor left. The ring stay pins, amulet and ring chains are all still t and were all hand made. It has 4 1/2" swivel cheeks. The top of the rein chains are also still t This is a blacksmith hand forged and shaped bit made in the old world way. The ring has old worn down hand filing work. This ring bit is one of the heaviest that we have ever found. We live in the high desert, so the rust is kept down to the minimum. This tends to not show their true age.
