This pottery has traveled a long way from Mexico to the States, to Venice, Italy and back again to the States many years later. I have hundreds of pieces to sell and some are from my own collection, some are from my sister's "stash" who passed away in 2005. When Juli was 19 she went to Italy for a visit and bravely made a choice that would change her life forever. I personally

In just one moment she decided to stay and made a life in Venice for over thirty years. While in Italy my sister was the consummate entrepreneur. She kept inventing clever ways to afford her lifestyle there. She found a way to get her horses from Texas to Venice, learned to shoe them herself and to afford the house and her equestrian lifestyle she imported used equestrian equipment from the States for resale in Venice which netted her at least double her investment.

Next to her house was an artist studio she donated to the artist's community and one of the ways she supported this endeavor was by having about 200 Talavera pieces shipped to herself where she sold them for "donations". After she passed away I shipped over 100 boxes and her furniture back to myself here in the States and today started the task of unwrapping each of these pieces as well as my own collection I have put away for the past few years.

I combine shipping.

The shipping is $6.25 priority mail shipping.
Immediate positive feedback upon receipt of payment. Paypal preferred but I will gladly accept other methods. . Let me know if you get a chance to read my page with Juli's story and I will send you an extra gift of at least 700 photos on a CD of photographs of my time in Italy with this pottery. Let me know if you read my me page and that you want the Venice CD.

I was living in Padova, Italy in the early 70's with my husband and children. My little sister, only 19 at the time, came to visit me from the States.

She decided to take a train ride to Venice by herself and there she met, Paolo. He was quite a bit older but he intrigued her.

He was working on his Venetian sailboat. She approached him and asked half jokingly if he would give her a ride on his sailboat.

He did and he took her around to all of the islands. He spoke little English and she spoke no Italian but there was something there.

She had just come from a traumatic situation in the States. Her fiance had died suddenly and she was devastated.

Paolo was the distraction she needed. She said he was a gentleman, old school, would not let her pay for anything and she en...
