This listing is for (one) 1 oz Silver Gem Proof "Quetzalcoatl" Coin. In a deep mirror finish, a stunning coin from the oldest mint in North America. A low mintage of only 4,800, and very desired piece.This one ounce coin shows a relief reproduction that symbolizes the birth of Ce-Acatl Topilzin Quetzalcoatl. Tradition tells that Ce-Acatl lead the Toltecs to a great city growth and reached the domination of several territories, richness and power, once they were established in Tula Xicocotitlan, nowadays Hidalgo city. He ruled this civilization from year 925 to 950 A.D. Surrounding the coin t is an outline with a design inspired in the belt of a Quetzalcotal figure.Weighing 31.1035 grams and measures 40.00 mm.
