Neil Diamond Hot August Night (2 LPs) This is a Minty looking Mobile Fidelity Double LP with Very Little Sign Of Play (VLSOP). This performance was recorded live in concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and is one of the top Mobile Fidelity titles. Their reputation is built on good records like this.If you stop to think about it, three of the best records they ever made are live recordings: this one, the live Little Feat album, and The Blues Summit -- all double albums, and all sounding SUPERB. I consider the live Little Feat album to be their masterpiece. In that respect, if you're going to buy Neil Diamond record, this is the one to buy. All the best songs with the best sound -- it's hard to go wrong with an album like this!By the way, domestic copies of this album are not very good. Not the ones I've played anyway.The record comes complete with the customer survey, warranty card, geodisc advertisement and cardboard protector. The cover shows some slight wear on the corners and rates 8 out of 10. AMG Review This is the ultimate Neil Diamond record. Not necessarily the best — he's at his most appealing crafting in the studio — but certainly the ultimate, capturing all the kitsch and glitz of Neil Diamond, the showman.
