"SINGER" SEWHANDY100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY MODEL 20 TOY SEWING MACHINECIRCA 1951MACHINE MEASURES: 6 1/2" x 3 1/2"Up for auction is a charming, very rare antique model 20 Singer Sewhandy. It is the commerative 100 year Anniversary Model machine that was manufactured in 1951 for just that one year. A limited number of them were made in so they are scarce and highly collectible. It has a gold metal emblem on the base that says 1851-1951The machine is in excellent, near-mint, like NEW condition. It looks unused or it was very well cared for. The glossy black paint finish is excellent. The chrome sewing plate and other metal parts shine. The hand-wheel turns and the needle post moves up and down. It has a needle. It has all of it's part It includes the original Singer box. The box is in good condition for its age; it's sturdy and intact. It has some normal wear and pencil marks. The paper graphics on the lid are nice for display.The machine includes the original Singer needle packet with one needle, the Singer key/tool for removing the needle, a copy of the Singer instruction booklet, and the original SIMANCO table clamp.The machine is listed in Glenda Thomas' Toy Sewing Machine Reference guide Book I, copyright 1995. She appraised the machine at up to $200. The toy machines in her book have gone up in value since it was published. *** SEE read more
