This is a mint set of eight (8) pieces from William Hocker's Types of the American Revolution Series, Set No. 156 - Green Mountain Boys. The set contains an officer (Colonel Seth Warner) with a sword and musket and eight other ranks armed with hatchets and muskets. Wm. Hocker figures are 54mm scale figures made in the style of old toy soldiers. Hocker figures represent different armies and navies, as well as civilian figures from the American Revolution through the Pancho Villa Expedition; several historical personality sets are also produced. The original models were produced by Bill Hocker of Berkeley California; painting is completed by artists originally from Southeast Asia. The set comes in the original red Wm. Hocker Proprietor box of issue with a black and yellow label. The set was first produced in 1996; the inside of the lid is signed and dated by Mr. Hocker. Note: the set has not been removed from the box . On June 23, 1775 Congress recommended that Green Mountain Boys be recruited for the Separate Army. A battalion was created and placed under the command of Colonel Seth Warner (July 5, 1776 to January 1, 1781).
