Antique Art Deco Lamp Base & "Fringed Hex" Mica Shade
Introduction : Arts & Crafts Redefined - My Mica Shade Designs Are EXCLUSIVE - * ONLY AVAILABLE ON EBAY * - While I do make a few Standard Mica Shade Shapes & Custom Cylinders , I Invented Special Bent Mica Shades (see my other listings) 4 years ago at my NYM Arts Studio in New York specifically to rescue YOUR old lamp bases. I design every shade you see in my listings. I make every shade by hand. My fabrication technique is totally unique - The Heavy Lead Bead Over Copper Foiled Curved Mica Panels is My Unique Contribution to Lighting History, and gives me the Honor of being THE ONLY Mica Shade Artist in America Today. I work in 3 kinds of Amber Mica (Dark Mottled Amber, Light Amber & Natural Amber (with Black Flecks) , and 2 kinds of Silver Mica - - Plain Silver, usually with an applied design, and Natural Silver ( with Black Flecks). When bidding, be mindful of the considerable amount of time and physical pain endured (bent panel shades) to bring this finished piece to you. My shades are indeed rare. * NO PAY PAL ! This is a Complete Set. 19" high (23" with finial) Iron Art Deco lamp base rewired with New plug & it has the Original Finial, Original Finish, and both sockets work Perfectly. The Shade is made with Dark Amber & Light Amber Micas in Heavy Lead Bead over copper foil in the style of "The Fringed Hex". It is 17" bottom diameter (corner to corner), 10" top diameter and 8 1/2" high.Top & Bottom edges are Reinforced with 1/8" round solid brass stock. Shade is Not Mass Produced. Made by Yours Truly in my NYM Arts Studio in New York. 6 Days to Pay By Money Order or Cashier's Check. New York State residents must add 8 1/8% sales tax Exactly.
