About the Artist: Michael Lambert grew up near the movie studios which were producing theclassic animation of the 40's, and perhaps a little of the "pixie dust"blew his way. He has taken workshops from major English and American ceramic masters, and has been designing and creating pottery in his California studio since 1967. His work was selected to be included in the exhibition and catalogue for "Functional Glamour: Twelve American Ceramicists", at the Museum Het Kruithuis, 'S-Hertogenbosch, in the Netherlands. He has also been featured in American Craft, MY Times Magazine, and on the cover of Ceramics Monthly.
"Ceramics is a serious business, but it can be fun too. I want my work to show respect for the beautiful, sculptural pots of the past, but also to be fresh and, at times, playful. I hope that my pieces lift your spirits. I design them to be collectible, elegant gifts for you or for someone equally special." -Michael Lambert
