A Michael Lax designed enameled cast iron sauce pan with lid and teak handle. Michael Lax worked with/under such designers as Kaj Franck, Limari Tapiovaara, Russel Wright and Richard Morgenthau aka Raymor. By 1960 he created Copcoware, modern porcelain enamel cast-iron cookwear made in Denmark, on the Danish Island of Morso by N.A. Christiansen. This is not the newer Copco which is marked USA and distributed by AGA, this one is marked Denmark. It's 4 1/2 inches high to the top of the knob, 6 1/2 inches rim to rim, 13 inches from end of handle to far rim The condition is amazing, I do not think it was ever used. It's great to have good looking cookwear and not too many are better then this. Because I deal with vintage items and like all vintage items, they will show signs of use. None of the items up for auction are in mint condition unless otherwise noted. I do look over the items and included what I feel should be mention, but t will be signs of normal use that comes with age. I am not an expert on any of the items I have up for auction. Just like any auction, all items are sold as found as is. No refunds unless item is grossly misrepresented.
