“Stud” A limited edition lithograph hand signed by Michael Schumacher and the artist. A unique opportunity to acquire a long sold out limited edition print by renowned motorsport & aviation artist Thierry Thompson. Typically seen elsewhere at $895 Michael Schumacher hardly needs an introduction. With a total of seven Formula 1 World Drivers Championships and an equally stunning 91 Formula 1 race wins, his statistics absolutely dwarf all others. In 1992 at the fearsome Spa course in Belgium Schumacher would score the first of his countless Formula 1 wins in the Benetton B192-Ford. That was the year of the active-suspension Williams that gave Nigel Mansell an advantage that was thought impossible to overcome. With a bit of rain, quite common at the fearsome Spa circuit, Schumacher’s superior skill was allowed to shine. Not only would he score his first Formula 1 race win, he would finish well over 30 full seconds ahead of 2 nd place Mansell in the supposedly superior Williams. Schumacher would go on to score his first two Formula 1 World Championships with Benetton in ’94 and ’95. Legendary motorsport artist Thierry Thompson has memorialized this epic achievement in a stunning print. Capturing the moment when Schumacher enters one of the ultra-fast Spa corners, the print shows the bright belching backfire of the Benetton’s powerful Ford V-8. The realism is so complete you can even see individual blades of grass kicked up by Schumacher’s tire at the outside of the corner. Thompson’s noted expertise with both realism and colors makes the backfire look virtually real. This limited edition lithograph was released in 1993 and quickly sold out. Only 500 prints were produced. This is number 333. Schumacher had the habit of rarely signing prints and this is one of the few that he agreed to do. This print is hand signed by both Michael Schumacher and artist Thierry Thompson. It is printed on the highest quality archival paper. Overall dimensions are 38” wide by 27” tall. The image is 32” wide by 20” tall. It’s absolutely brand new and has only been out of its protective tube to take these photos.
